Remember this little image
below here? I did it with the intent of making an acrylic painting out of it...
well.. I decided to go ahead.. and ink it. I want to invest in an airbrush down
the line and I figured that if I did the inks I would have very detailed lines
to transfer at a larger size onto canvas. Remember the little one was done on
a notebook scratch paper and it's maybe 2 inches long if that.. the finished
piece, below is on an 11 X 14 bristol w/ about an inch or so border. Unfortunately
for poor me.. I was crazy enough to do this piece when I was tired - all in
one night ugh!! - after doing another piece of one of the comic characters I
draw for the book (fortunately not as detailed).. and the worst topper.. my
lamp went kaput and I was trying to ink over these very very light bluelines...
hellooooo.. I can't see now...I love Ed's face in this one, and the feather
work on the eagle. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the smaller
figure. But oh well! heheh. Chris had to help me scan this baby in. The border
isn't the actual border that's on the artwork - it was done in Corel Draw by
Chris, and part of the top, bottom and right side is missing (just a minute
amount tho')
When I actually go do
this piece for canvas/color, I will probably remove the smaller figure and put
something else. Maybe a Stanley Cup? Ed? How 'bout it? ;) ;) Enjoy!
