Color Belfour Portrait

This piece was drawn while looking at one of those Belfour stubble cards. I simply made his hair a bit longer in back, and changed the jersey to a Dallas Stars jersey. The expression is only slightly different in that I was a bit tired and in a hurry with inking. Most of the facial lines are made up of feathering (which is why I chose to load my images at such large proportions, because smaller images like the Super Ed tend to have feathered lines show up as bold lines). This piece was inked by hand on an 11 X 14 bristol sheet, and scanned in (can you believe our little handheld actually WORKED this time??) and colored in Photoshop. The skin tone turned out a little more orange than I wanted, but overall I was pleased. The font lettering was done in Photoshop too.

It's also weird seeing the original inks without coloring. The inks were done w/ the knowledge that color would be added afterwards so it looks a little odd, and most definitely different from the colored version. (yeah I babble so that you read the text while the image loads, hahah)
