(Note: The text below was written a few years ago. I most likely will never finish this project, afterall)
Unfortunately something
came up and I wasn't able to use the cartoon idea I'd had scheduled for August
15th, so I decided to use the two scans of the penciled roughs I took off the
canvas I am working on now. For those of you familiar with this current project,
yes I'm still working on it. I tend to work fast with my other mediums but take
my time on the big paintings, especially with all the other things I have going
on now... yowza. These two are of course the roughs I went by for the painting,
and I do hope to be able to repost this page with the finished painting for
viewing - but I've no idea when that will be. As I'm finding out, it doesn't
pay to have schedules half the time, things keep coming up when you have a ton
of projects coming and going! :)
Also as you've noticed
the cartoons of Talon and Ed haven't been hockey related - they're based on
his hobbies and interests that he has for a short break from the "norm" and
I'm hoping to start the hockey toons up in September again, with other typical
holiday toons thrown in here and there. Anyway, enjoy these two sketches and
I hope to post the finished painting *some* day soon heheheh. (actually it's
funny seeing this file sitting next to a scan I did of how it currently looks,
it underwent some changes as the paints were going on)
Oh yeah.. the canvas
is (is? was) white.. the scans however are grayish in color because of the
light coming through the canvas while scanning (it was too big for the scanner)
