The Haircut...

Well, I haven't included a text page in a while but this one needed one I think. This one is a joke based off when I first started drawing Ed, realistically and cartoon. It seems, from the people I've talked to, no one had ever seen Ed with short hair and without a beard, so the few drawings I'd done of him without that wild look I had seen in some photos I was teased a bit about. (They're friends from online.... so it's not like it was bad.. but a few honestly did say that they had never even seen him beardless even though Ed does chop his hair off etc) I started to tell myself, "this must be the image that most fans view him with" and started only drawing him with the wildish hair and stubble.

This summer, as he usually seems to do, Ed cut his hair and I commented to a friend about an idea for a 'toon that I'd had. I drew it and had thought about using it for an update but decided not to use it (at least for a while). A few weeks ago, I caught up with someone recently who looked through some of my art (this piece was not in the portfolio) and teased me "Ed's got that new haircut - he's going to give you grief y'know..." (of course meant jokingly)...

So I decided to post it afterall.. hyuk hyuk. Enjoy!

(A few minor notes, I've been disappointed with how the lines are going down as of late. I've been using a felt tip pen, but fortunately have been able to find the ink I like to use with brush. I've been having to rush through updates and even goofy pieces like this one - a project has come up that is a big step for my art and it is taking up a lot of my time. I'm sorry if anyone has noticed the quality a little off, as well as the weird dates I've been straying from.. because of the fall months with preseason and holidays, sometimes I like to add an extra piece to the gallery. I hope to be able to explain what this big project is and why some things have been put on hold and others are rushed a little more.)

Who is this?, wonders Talon...
